MissionThe mission of the Foundation for Equity in Arts Education (FEAE) is to increase access to the arts in urban public schools districts. The diminishing exposure to arts programs has evolved as a result of socioeconomic inequity and inconsistent state funding. Frequent and consistent participation in the visual and performing arts develops children’s' true potential to become innovative thinkers and productive citizens in the 21st Century Workforce. |
GoalsTo achieve its mission, the FEAE will focus on the following goals: 1) Expand and sustain the commitment to, and resources for, quality arts education in The Woodbury City Public Schools which serve low SES student populations who historically have less exposure to the arts. 2) Improve students' access and exposure to the visual and performing arts. 3) Support and strengthen the teaching of the arts in school by increasing the existing pool of resources and professional development opportunities. 4) Strengthen and increase collaboration through community partnerships with arts advocacy organizations to widen the support base for arts education. |
